Paris —Technip has started a search for a new leader to replace its chairman and CEO Daniel Valot, who is to retire at group’s the next AGM in April 2007, the Paris-based engineering, construction and services group said 28 Sept.
The French conglomerate is also planning to elect new board members “to enhance its diversity and enlarge its competence,” as well as a scheme for the alternating rotation of directors, according to a 28 Sept group statement.
“Technip will have to plan and implement in the coming years a new phase of further development. This can only be effectively carried out with a long-term approach. It goes without saying that in the best interest of our shareholders, customers and employees, I will make sure that the transition proceeds in an orderly manner,” Valot commented.
