Heineken Ireland deployed an Antenna A3 system from Antenna Software of Reading for over 80 of its service and maintenance representatives, who are responsible for maintaining beer quality at customer pubs and restaurants.
The Antenna A3 system is integrated into Heineken Ireland's Siebel Field Service system to enable field service representatives to receive service requests and report customer service visits via BlackBerry handheld device operating on the O2 network.
The software system enables Heineken Ireland to manage its 24,000 monthly line cleanings with greater speed and efficiency and provides a 24/7 network monitoring and message delivery service, said Antenna Software.
Commenting on the award, Martin Gowran, IT Project Manager, Heineken Ireland, said, “This market is extremely competitive - ensuring that our product quality is always of the highest standard is clearly of benefit both to our customers and our core business.”
Jim Hemmer, president and CEO of Antenna Software, added: “Mobility is no longer a nice to have - it is a strategic necessity for enabling companies to deliver live business-critical information to their staff in the field. We congratulate Heineken Ireland for leading the way in its use of mobile technology to help keep Heineken flowing smoothly in more Irish pubs and restaurants.”
Heineken Ireland, part of Heineken NV, employs 440 people in its wholesale operations in Ireland. The company’s portfolio includes Heineken, Amstel, Coors Light and Murphy's Irish stout.
