Simon Carves nets Thai LDPE project

EPC project will be the 36th high pressure polyethylene plant of its type by Manchester-based company
Manchester, UK -- Simon Carves Ltd, part of the Punj Lloyd Group, is to carry out an Engineering, Procurement, Construction contract on a new 300-ktpa LDPE plant for PTT Polyethylene Co. Ltd (PTT PE) and its partner Toyo Thai Corp. Ltd.
The plant is to be built at PTT PE’s site at Map-Ta-Phut as part of its cracker complex, and will incorporate Basell Lupotech T technology. Construction work on the facility is due to commence in late 2007 and by completed by the first quarter of 2010, Simon Carves announced 1 Dec.
This project will be the 36th high pressure polyethylene plant of this type executed by Manchester-headquartered Simon Carves, which claims to be a leader in this field.
