Saunders to head AMEC Nuclear

New global business leader has extensive experience of UK andContinental European fuel sectors
London – Mike Saunders is to take over as president of AMEC Nuclear, with effect from 29 Jan. He will replace Alan Lamerton, chief executive, who is retiring, AMEC announced 14 Dec.
Saunders, who will be based at AMEC’s Booths Hall, UK site, was previously senior vice president of strategy and integration at Westinghouse following its recent acquisition by Toshiba.
He is also a former vice president of Westinghouse’s European Fuel Business with responsibility for operations in the UK and previously headed BNFL’s UK fuel business at Springfields, Preston.
Saunders holds a BSc Hons in Electrical Engineering from Manchester University and an MBA from Lancaster University.
