New Addition To Proven Steam Trap Range
30 Jan 2007
Steam and process fluid control specialist Flowserve Gestra has introduced the UNA38 steam trap for use with high flow rates of high-pressure condensate in steam systems.
The UNA38 features a robust ball-float and needle-closing mechanism with a large condensate discharge capacity which maximises the retention of process steam whilst optimising the discharge of condensate and incondensable gases to help preserve wear on downstream equipment such as valves.
Designed to operate at pressures of up to PN100 (Class 600) and temperatures up to 500°C or 530°C for the high temperature version, the UNA38 is robust, low maintenance and easily adapted to function in horizontal or vertical installations, with a choice of butt-weld, socket-weld and flanged connections as standard.
UNA traps are well recognised for their ability to perform independently of back pressure, making them suitable for universal application where the need for energy efficiency and heat conservation, matched with reliability under arduous conditions is essential. With additional features such as a float lifting lever and hand-vent valve to offer both SIMPLEX and DUPLEX control options, the UNA38 is able to satisfy a wide range of operating requirements based on proven technology and assured low cost of ownership.
