Standard TTS service now includes transfer torque wrench re-calibration
2 Feb 2007
HBM is now offering a standard service at customers’ sites to re-calibrate its advanced TTS transfer torque wrenches. The service shortens throughput times and reduces device downtime while giving customers an enhanced service at a reduced price.
Transfer torque wrenches must be properly calibrated to meet ISO 9000 standards for traceability as they are used to reference check and calibrate torque wrench calibration systems. The calibration service can be carried out at an agreed date for the customer’s convenience.
The TTS transfer torque wrench is available from HBM for applications that require ISO 9000 compliance. It is available in five sizes with nominal (rated) torques of up to 3 kN·m. The TTS is extremely insensitive to lateral and axial forces as well as bending moments. The transfer torque wrench is supplied complete with DKD calibration.
Transfer torque wrenches are an important means of calibrating commonly used torque wrenches. Normally, reference equipment needs to be calibrated in an accredited calibration laboratory, for example, in HBM’s in-house DKD calibration laboratory (German calibration service).
