ABB and RS working together to meet customers’ needs

ABB Limited, global manufacturer within the industrial sector and RS, leading distributor of electronic, electrical and electromechanical industrial products, have joined forces to combine their respective expertise in the process control and automation (PCA) marketplace.

The partnership is part of a joint push in the PCA and maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) markets to satisfy customers’ needs where they often demand products at short notice.

ABB products are available through all the RS channels. Aware of the ever increasing trend towards online purchasing, RS are also creating a dedicated ABB area on the website as part of their ‘Brand shop’ initiative. This will make selecting and finding ABB products easier for customers, as well as providing technical and support information.

Products available through the partnership include an “extended” range of low voltage products, encompassing distribution, line protection, switching and control equipment. These sit alongside a core range of DIN rail connectors, interface and electronics, time delay relays, signal conditioning, enclosures, surge protection products, switch mode power supplies and industrial drives which are also available through RS.

Customers can count on ABB products being available as and when they need them through the RS channels including the Catalogue, online and a network of Trade Counters and Call and Collect outlets located nationwide. All backed with the RS quality of service.

To help mark the launch of this joint venture an ABB demonstration vehicle will be visiting selected RS Trade Counters and there will be a number of promotions and offers for customers to discover the benefits of the two brands working together.
