BP names new E&P boss

Appointment part of transition to new leadership ahead of Browne’s departure
London – BP has appointed Andy Inglis as a managing director of the BP Group and to succeed Tony Hayward as chief executive of BP’s Exploration & Production (E&P) business. BP’s CEO-designate Hayward is taking over from John Browne who is retiring from the top post in July.
Inglis joined BP in 1980 and has held a number of E&P posts, most recently as deputy chief executive of E&P and a member of BP’s Group Executive team. He has an MA in Engineering from Cambridge University and is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer, a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, and a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
