Hydro’s sludgescreen® for single operation sludge screening/dewatering

In the current climate of upgrading wastewater treatment works in the
Two models are available for waste treatment works; typical throughputs (at 0-1% dry solids) are up to 120 m3/hr for the SludgeScreen® and 15 m3/hr for the SludgeScreen® Compact, which is also widely used for on-board wastewater treatment plant on cruise liners.
The SludgeScreen® is a pressurised, in-line sludge screen in an enclosed system to reduce odour, and operates without wash water to reducing operational costs. It is fully automatic for either continuous or intermittent screening of sludges with varying dry solids content; control is via the fully compliant user friendly WIMES 3.04 control panel.
Coarse material separation is continuous with loss of pressure dependent on sludge thickness only. The coarse material is discharged to a container, while the clean sludge is pumped to a digester, or holding tank for removal.
To meet different on-site conditions, a range of screen perforations is available between 3 mm to 10 mm in two directions. All wetted components are stainless steel for maximum resistance to process conditions and Hydro’s SludgeScreen® is pre wired and factory tested prior to installation and commissioning. Hydro also offer a full after sales service, service contract and spares.
