Astore Improves Its Single Union Ball Valve Offering

Astore has enhanced its PVC-U Single Union Ball Valve offering with a new screw block fitting that boasts a high performance seal system to prevent leakage and to achieve optimum valve operation.

The new Single Union Ball Valve with screw block fitting has been introduced as a direct replacement for the previous push block fitting to improve customer offering. The enhancement feature has been developed specifically by Astore to improve performance in pressure situations.

The new screw block fitting works by simply screwing the union nut in a clockwise manner to the end connector for complete sealing on the valve seats. This design feature makes it the ideal solution for most general purpose applications with working pressures of up to 10bar.

The new fitting also offers true cost benefits as its high performance and durability capabilities help diminish potential product failure and as a result, reduce labour time and replacement costs associated with fixing leaks. To offer further guarantees on leak prevention the valve also boasts an O-ring to add extra support. This sits neatly into the grooves of the support for the ball seat and can be easily replaced without the need of additional equipment.

Available in PVC-U, which is suitable for carrying foodstuffs, drinking water and chemicals with non-toxic properties, it is available in measurements ranging from 16mm up to 63mm or 3/8” to 2”.

In addition, Astore PVC-U offers excellent resistance to chemicals, which allows for safe transportation of acids and chemical concentrates without fear of corrosion or environmental pollution.
