20 Mar 2007
According to Emerson, the new unit will help strengthen its position in remote automation technology. This, it said, will include areas such as integrated remote measurement and control solutions, autonomous wireless instrumentation, seamless communication integration, and system health diagnostics.
Remote Automation Solutions will be headquartered in Watertown, with manufacturing locations in Watertown; Marshalltown, Iowa; Pickering, UK; and Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. The unit is to be headed by Jack Kelly, formerly Bristol division president, as president, with Jon Milliken, formerly president of the Flow Computer division, as executive vice president.
“Both new and existing customers will experience more solutions choices and applications support than ever before along with our commitment of service and support throughout the life of their system/product,” stated Kelly.
The division will continue to offer products and services under the Bristol, Bristol ControlWave, FloBoss ROC, and Danload product brands through existing sales channels without any disruption in service to customers, said Emerson.
