Mocap Inject Investment Into New Products

MOCAP, a leading manufacturer and supplier of vinyl caps, plugs and masking tapes have invested in a new injection moulding facility in China to meet the requirements of the company’s rapid growing markets.

Located near to Hong Kong International Airport, the new 75,000 sq ft purpose built factory will do vinyl dip moulding and plastic injection moulding in addition to having a full state of the art vinyl plastic & rubber mould making facility.

In a change from many manufacturers who have closed their US and European facilities, MOCAP’s expansion into China will complement its Telford and Missouri factories by offering manufacturing from all three locations.

MOCAP is also expanding its global product offering with a new line of plastic injection moulded Caps and Plugs. These include Tapers, Non Threaded Caps, both Flanged & Un-Flanged, Finishing Plugs and Furniture Glides. With its new in-house mould building department in China, MOCAP plans to build 200 to 300 proprietary moulds annually during this product line expansion.

MOCAP will also be able to offer custom plastic and rubber injection moulds for free or minimal cost to its customers. These moulds can be used in all three MOCAP facilities. Customers can choose where they want the products produced. For those who require short lead times, MOCAP can ship its China built moulds to whatever facility the customer chooses.
