Grundfos Achieves Record Growth
8 May 2007
For the fifth year in succession the Grundfos Groups’ annual results have shown an increase in both turnover and profit. The 2006 results show a 15% increase in sales, with 2% of this figure coming from acquired companies and 13% from organic growth against 7% in the previous year. These results are significant as they reflect an important increase in market share.
One notable growth area has been the increasing sale of energy efficient A-labelled circulator pumps whose energy savings in 2006 corresponded to the total energy consumption of 118,000 Western European households.
In 2007 the Group are planning to make their largest investment ever as part of their long-term strategy. This will include a significant investment in R&D activities that are now carried out in development centres in Hungary, India, China, Finland and the USA as well as in the bespoke Business Development Centre (BDC) in Denmark.
This year will also see new Grundfos open new factories in Hungary and Mexico.
