Woodhouse acquires Asset Performance Tools
14 May 2007
APT’s software is used in the oil industry, power and utilities, transport, mining and manufacturing sectors. Client companies include National Grid, BP, Severn Trent Water, CE Electric, Codelco, Sasol and Pirelli. Applications include evaluating and optimising investments, life cycle costs, operating and maintenance decisions, spares and purchasing strategies.
“This move reflects our confidence that disciplined, quantitative and auditable methods are becoming increasingly recognised as core to good asset management, according to John Woodhouse, managing director of Woodhouse.
The modular APT suite “handles the vital combined usage of both hard data and structured use of tacit/expert knowledge; it addresses the psychology as well as the necessary sophisticated mathematics and “what if?” capability,” Woodhouse stated.
Woodhouse specialises in management improvement and employs 40 professionals internationally in various industrial sectors. It offers tools in criticality analysis, risk management and reliability-centred maintenance alongside services such as strategic asset management, education and implementation of joined-up, sustainable business processes.
