Climate porn?

As we recently reported, Prof Mike Hulme of the Tyndall Centre, has flagged up the damage being done by many leading scientists who are plying the media with scare stories about the impact of climate change.
Citing the findings of a recent Tyndall Centre report, titled Is this Climate Porn?, Hulme said fellow academics are undermining the entire scientific debate about climate change and creating public apathy about the issue.
The need for more rational debate on climate change is further highlighted by our recent news item on a WWF report labeling a group of European power plant as the ‘Dirty Thirty’.
Instead of serving up such spin, the respected conservation group would do better to engage in a positive dialogue with the energy industry towards the goal of a sustainable and diversified energy supply.
