Riley introduces new range of ultrasonic cleaning tanks and submersible transducers

Riley Industries has launched a new range of stainless steel, ultrasonic cleaning tanks for effective and high precision ultrasonic cleaning of a wide range of industrial components.

Marketed under the Everest brand, the new tanks have capacities from 4 to 160 litres. They are suitable for jewellery, dental, medical, optical, micro-electronics and light engineering applications. Among the standard components are silicon foil heaters, analogue or digital controls and high efficiency ceramic piezo-electric ultrasonic transducers.

There are four categories within the Riley Everest range. The CleanEx category has capacities from 4 to 28 litres and frequencies of 28 or 40 kHz. There are 18 different sizes of ultrasonic tanks in the range, with sizes up to 530 x 325 x 470 mm deep.

The CleanMax category has tank capacities from 15 to 160 litres, with frequencies of 28 or 40 kHz. They are thermally and acoustically insulated and include low level protection for the tanks’ heaters. The range includes 20 different models with sizes up to 1000 x 750 x 950 mm deep.

The MobilClean category is a selection of submersible ultrasonic transducer packs for ultrasonic cleaning flexibility. These hermetically sealed, modular stainless steel units can be integrated into a new precision cleaning system, or retrofitted to an existing tank or multi-stage cleaning system to add ultrasonic capability.

The MobilClean submersible ultrasonic units can be supplied with output frequencies of 28 or 40 kHz, high efficiency transducers and are available with horizontal or vertical side mountings or base mountings depending on the application.

The MultiClean range is for customers who require more than just cleaning. MultiClean systems include an ultrasonic cleaning tank, followed by any number of additional tanks to accomplish any process required, including rinsing, drying, filtration, chemical dosing and automatic transfer. There is a standard range of MultiClean sizes and other sizes can be made by special order.

Riley Industries, which has recently moved to a new facility in Aldridge, near Birmingham UK, is best known for its large range of used surface finishing equipment. The Everest range is the first of a series of planned new product launches covering all of the surface finishing disciplines.
