Lowestoft-based company to carry out a multi-million contract on North Sea re-development project
London -- BP Norge AS has signed up Lowestoft-based SLP Engineering Ltd to carry out a ‘multi-million-GBP’ contract for the EPC of new build facilities on the Valhall re-development project in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea.
The work comprises: Living quarters with 180 single bed cabins; a power from shore (PFS) module; a low-voltage local equipment room (LER) module; a high-voltage LER module; and an emergency local equipment room module.
Delivery of the five modules is scheduled to take place between 31 July 2008 for the first LER module to the 30 April 2010 for the Living quarters. The other modules will be progressively completed between these dates. All work will be carried out at SLP's Lowestoft construction facility.
