One of the single largest programmes in the process industry for a main automation contract
Columbia, Illinois — Chevron has selected Yokogawa and Maverick Technologies -- an engineering, systems integration and operational consulting firm -- as the joint main automation and control contractor for its global refineries.
Under a long-term deal, the Yokogawa Maverick Alliance for Chevron (YMAC) will standardise and modernise the process automation and control infrastructure at Chevron’s eight refineries and related process units.
The agreement is one of the single largest programmes in the process automation industry for a main automation contract, claimed a 14 June Maverick statement.
Yokogawa will provide its control technologies while Maverick will provide the majority of the engineering, construction management and installation services. YMAC’s scope includes validation of design specifications, field instrumentation, integrated process control and safety systems design and implementation, asset optimisation and advanced applications.
