- the best in the business for foods, pharmaceuticals and chemical processing
The new Classic+ rotary lobe pump from Johnson Pump (UK) is all that the successful Classic pump has been in the market but with added benefits. The Classic+ is now of modular construction, with improved gearbox integrity, so is simpler to service and maintain, and has universal four-way mounting and reversible operation. The Classic+ is suitable for CIP/SIP and manual strip cleaning, and is fully ATEX-compliant, with tamper-proof guarding for added safety.
All these improvements (and more) have added innovative design features to proven hygienic design principles so that the Classic+ pump achieves low-shear flow and total reliability in both continuous and intermittent transfer or process applications, with positive self-priming pumping action, dry running (with suitable seals). All product-wetted parts are made from 316L stainless steel, capable of resisting the corrosive action of high or low pH fluids, and the new pump is available in a wide range of displacements for virtually every application.
Versatile for tricky applicationsFor pumping sensitive foodstuffs – chocolate, soups and sauces, cream – pharmaceuticals, personal care products, and a whole range of other process products requiring special care, the rugged Classic+ pump cannot be beaten.
Johnson Pump (UK) people understand the handling of finished chocolate, the importance of not drawing the temper and the need to maintain constant temperature. It’s the same with the special needs of cream, the handling of pet foods, the processing of personal care products, the production of pharmaceuticals. Johnson Pump (UK) has the know-how and the pump you need.
How it’s doneThe Classic+ pump achieves universal mounting by using bolt-on feet that allow the ports to be aligned either horizontally or vertically to suit the application. The rotorcase profile and geometry allow for complete self-draining of the pump when mounted with the ports in the vertical position, and there is provision for the fitting of jackets to warm or cool the pump in operation, as required by the process and the characteristics of the fluid being pumped. There are options for enlarged ports for high viscosity fluids, plus a variety of seals and drives to enable the Classic+ to operate within a wide variety of process environments and plant technologies.
