Stekko enhances temperature controls on jacketed vessels
29 Aug 2007
Fareham, UK -- Engineering company Stekko Co. Ltd has added a special precision temperature control system from Tricool Engineering to enhance the performance of its custom-built stainless steel jacketed vessels.
The jacketed vessels are widely used in the pharmaceutical industry and are engineered to cope with wide ranging temperatures as the contents are heated up to 80ºC then cool down to -2ºC. Typical customers include Catalent Pharma Solutions, which uses the units for its Zydis process and the manufacture of capsule form drugs.
Fareham-based Tricool designed and manufactured a custom-built 5kW thermoregulator, which circulates water through a closed circuit that maintains the temperature of the jacketed vessel’s contents within tight tolerances.
High Wycombe-based Stekko manufactures a range of finely tuned products that includes mixers, pressure vessels (BS550) jacketed vessels, blenders, dispensers and clean room equipment for the food, drink, chemical and pharma industries.
