Emerson Europe boss moves to global sales role

 

Austin, Texas – Emerson Process Management has appointed Jim Nyquist as president of Global Sales, covering sales operations across all its divisions including systems, software, instruments, valves and services. Nyquist has had a 30-year career with Emerson, including world area roles in the Americas, Europe and Asia, and most recently was president of Emerson Process Management Europe.

"Jim is an ideal choice to lead our sales efforts around the world, helping our customers improve their business performance," said John Berra, president of Emerson Process Management. "We are excited to name Jim to this leadership position where his demonstrated ability to understand customer needs will extend our leadership in process automation."

"One thing that I’ve learned working with our customers in different world areas is that they all want to run their plants more efficiently; saving energy, monitoring equipment health and asset optimization," added Nyquist, commenting in a 26 Nov announcement. The Emerson statement did not name Nyquist’s successor in Europe.
