seepex have launched a unique new macerator, the MC range. It has been developed with the specific needs of the waste water industry in mind and can efficiently macerate solids, rags and fibrous materials. This together with its user friendly design, high flow rates plus low maintenance costs makes the MC an ideal business choice for the environment industry.
The new MC macerator incorporates some extremely user friendly design features. Maintenance is simplified as easy adjustment of the knife head clearance and complete replacement of the vertical cutting knives and shear plate can be carried out without the need for lifting equipment or removal of the complete cutter head and drive. So, reducing maintenance costs. In addition removable cutters offer a four-fold life span as the worn knives can be simply rotated by 90 º and so used again and again.
The vertical design and installation of the shear plate and knife head on a horizontal drive shaft on the MC also enables a special integral solids separator to be fitted within the casing. This allows heavy objects to drop out of the product flow.
Energy use is also addressed with low energy consumption being optimized in the MC by a combination of low operating speeds and a cutting rather than tearing action. This also improves performance and reliability.
seepex manufacture a range of progressive cavity pumps, macerators and control systems for the pulsation-free transfer of even viscous, aggressive and abrasive products. The modular pump range offers tailored pump solutions and options from 7 groups and 27 ranges. Flows ranging from 0.1 l/h up to 500m³/h are available independent of discharge pressure or the DS content of the product. Differential pressures up to 48 bar are available and higher for special applications.
