New facilities open in Nottingham and Strathclyde
London - The University of Nottingham aims to become a world leader in ‘clean’ chemistry and engineering following the opening of its new Driving Innovation in Chemistry and Engineering (DICE) centre. The facility will be used to discover new sustainable technologies, as well as inspire young people at school and university, encouraging them to consider chemistry or engineering as a career. Meanwhile, Strathclyde University’s department of Chemical and Process Engineering has opened a new laboratory to further expand research capacity, develop interdisciplinary potential and identify new synergies in research collaboration, according to an IChemE press statement.
