Eurofins opens microbiology lab in London

Opening follows recent acquisition of Southern Water laboratories
London - Analytical and testing services group Eurofins Scientifichas officially a new purpose-built microbiology laboratory in Acton, west London. The Euro1million, UKAS -accredited facility was built to meet growing demand for analytical testing in the food and environment sectors.
The opening follows the company’s recent acquisition of Southern Water’s laboratories as part of an expansion plan within the UK. Eurofins has “ambitious growth plans for the future and the Acton facility will play a key role in helping us to achieve our objectives in the UK,” according to Eurofins Scientific CEO Dr Gilles Martin in a press statement.
Eurofins Scientific operates an international group of laboratories testing and support services to the environmental, pharmaceutical, food, and consumer products industries and to governments. The group includes Eurofins Environmental Services Ltd, which provides testing services for air, soil, water and occupational hygiene.
