Double-headed versions of the proven STP and SGP safety switches are designed for use with two adjacent machine access or cell enclosure guards. They are suitable for locking forces up to 2,500N. Doors can be hinged or sliding and, typically, would be used where a machining cell is located alongside an associated preparation or loading enclosure. Controlled access can be maintained to either station for safety purposes during production, inspection, cleaning or maintenance. The switches provide IP67 protection and cost savings compared with two individual types.
