The company’s cross-flow membrane filtration system can recover beer and surplus yeast from the fermentation and maturation stages of the brewing process. Up to 2% of total production can be recovered as high quality, oxygen-free beer, while also concentrating recovered yeast up to 20% dry matter. A self-contained skid houses a number of modules of plate and frame fluoropolymer membranes with a pore size of 0.45µm for microfiltration. The system has excellent flow dynamics and high levels of efficiency under low-pressure conditions.
