The company has shipped its 30,000th flow meter to tyre manufacturer Michelin in North America. The LMH Pelton wheel flow meter forms part of a spray system used to jet hot water onto the rubber mix to maintain it at a constant temperature as it passes down the production line. The meter measures precisely the amount of water passing through the spray system in order to ensure consistency. The patented Pelton wheel design has a proven track record of reliability spanning over 30 years. It is designed to operate at 5 bar at temperatures up to 70°C.
