Precision Micro

Precision Micro is determined to correct the misconception that photo etching is only for prototyping and short runs and not suitable for volume parts manufacture. Market development manager Mick Taylor says the technique can be very competitive with stamping, for example, in the production of precision metal components. The company has invested heavily in what is believed to be the largest contract etching facility in Europe, which can process over 30t/week of material. Unlike press tooling, design modifications can be made during a production run.
