The Insitec LPS on-line particle size analyser is proving ’indispensable’ for process control for a Japanese manufacturer of toners.More than eight systems have been installed into existing production control platforms at a number of its plants. The real-time particle size results are used to automate the control operation, reducing waste and enhancing product quality. Costs have been cut dramatically. The LPS is suitable for a range of wet processes and will measure particles in the 0.1 to 1,000 micron range on a reliable 24/7 basis with minimal maintenance.
