Cadbury awards first central MRO contract
26 Sep 2008
London - Cadbury has awarded Brammer a contract to supply a wide range of mechanical MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) products and services to all of the company’s factories in the UK and Ireland. The deal, for an unspecified sum, is the first time that Cadbury has awarded a central MRO contract, said Brammer.
Under the contract, Brammer is to serve as principal supplier for MRO equipment at all seven Cadbury sites in the UK and two in Ireland, with additional on-site services provided at Bournville, Chirk, Sheffield, Leominster and Bristol.
“We have worked with Brammer on a local level for a number of years and they have consistently provided a highly professional and efficient service and demonstrated a clear commitment to adding value to what we do, said Jim Davies of Cadbury. "We are now extending our relationship with Brammer into a true partnership that will allow us to develop and drive innovation in MRO supply through both businesses.”
For Brammer MD Ian Ritchie, the contract win reflects "the efforts of Brammer people across the UK who have worked with Cadbury over recent years at a local level, and the beginning of an exciting opportunity as we work with them to maximise the benefits of a principal supply partnership for their MRO requirements.”
