Watson-Marlow Pumps acquires PAK Machinery

Falmouth, UK - Peristaltic pump manufacturer Watson-Marlow, part of Spirax-Sarco Engineering plc, has acquired PAK Machinery – the UK distributor of Flexicon equipment, specialists in peristaltic aseptic filling systems. PAK Machinery’s founder and managing director, Philip King has joined the Watson-Marlow sales team following the acquisition on 1 Nov.
The deal, which follows the acquisition of the Danish company Flexicon earlier this year, further enhances Watson-Marlow’s position in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors in the UK and its global reach, the pumps maker said.
"We are constantly looking for ways to strengthen our product range in order that we provide a greater range of solutions. The PAK Machinery and Flexicon brands are well known, well trusted and command a great deal of respect in the market," said a Watson-Marlow statement.
Philip King, of PAK added: “We have a great deal of expertise in our core markets and we have a wealth of experience to bring to the table; I look forward to the opportunity of adding value to the sales activities in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.”
