Atlas Copco acquires UK distributor
London - Atlas Copco has acquired Compressor Engineering Ltd., a privately owned UK distributor and service provider for compressed air equipment, with customers throughout the Northamptonshire and Manchester areas. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Compressor Engineering has 39 employees and generates annual sales of about £3.5 milion from the supply, installation and maintenance of compressors and related equipment.
“Compressor Engineering Ltd. is widely recognised as a leading supplier in its regions, and this move gives Atlas Copco the opportunity to expand our business,” said Ronnie Leten, Business area president, Atlas Copco Compressor Technique. “Acquisitions of this kind are an important part of our strategy as they bring us closer to our customers and strengthen our aftermarket business.”
According to Atlas Copco, the acquired company will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Atlas Copco Compressors Ltd. and will operate within Atlas Copco’s Compressor Technique business area.
