London – The success of the UK’s car scrappage scheme has prompted Atlas Copco Compressors to launch a similar equipment replacement offer in the compressed air arena.
Under the supplier’s new Compressors Scrappage Scheme, any compressor that is five years old or more, regardless of model or manufacturer, could be worth up to £2,000 against the purchase of new Atlas Copco compressed air equipment. The company claims to have the largest range of piston, scroll and screw compressors on the market together with VSD machines offering energy savings of up to 35%.
“We believe this to be the biggest, most generous scheme of its type in our industry,” said Leen Van Diggele, managing director of Atlas Copco Compressors UK.Using the scheme not only saves a significant amount of capital expenditure on the acquisition of new and more energy-efficient equipment, but offers the potential benefit of substantial savings in running costs.”
Process companies interested in participating in the scheme can contact the company for an estimate of the trade-in value of existing equipment. The scrappage scheme offer closes on 30 June.
