Invensys system to minimise energy bills

London – Invensys Operations Management, through IMServ BureauPLUS, has developed a technology and management technique to enable building energy management schemes to be rolled out remotely, allowing on-site staff to focus on their core activities, instead of trying to manage the building.
The Mini-BMS (Building Management System) also removes problems of staff forgetting to turn off lights or air-conditioning. In a recent rollout for a group of retail sites, Invensys reported energy savings on lighting of 9% and 46% on air conditioning, as well as a payback of less than 15 months - even without tax incentives such as the Carbon Trust Interest Free Loan Scheme, SALIX funding or Enhanced Capital Allowance.
