Skills Academy generates £1m business in weeks

Newcastle, UK – The National Skills Academy Process Industries has referred over £1 million worth of training business to its Accredited Training Provider network in a just a few weeks.
The Provider Referral System, which was launched in January, works via the Skills Academy’s Regional Manager team, who provide hands-on support to employers to develop specialist skills solutions. The system is underpinned by a web-based referral platform where specific employer training needs identified by the Regional Team are posted; Accredited Providers can then respond to this and the Skills Academy will in turn help the employer select the solution that best meets their needs.
“The Skills Academy’s Accredited Provider Network operates to the very highest standards, undergoing rigorous Skills Academy quality checks and monitoring,” said Phil Jones, CEO of the Skills Academy.” The Skills Academy brand is a kitemark of quality.”
According to NSAPI, the accredited providers in its network have expertise to support a wide range of process industry training requirements, ranging from technical engineering and manufacturing skills and business improvement techniques, through to compliance training and leadership and management development.
The trainers deliver both employer-led Academy designed training, as well as training from their own existing portfolio. The Skills Academy also works with them to ensure excellence in provision and offers them a direct route to market, as well as providing them with opportunities to engage with employers.
Employers can also use the National Skills Academy’s flagship Skills Passport tool to undertake web-based skills benchmarking against the Cogent Gold Standard. They can get a clear view of any workforce skills gaps across a range of competencies and get signposted to the right solution for them.
Developed by Cogent the Sector Skills Council for the science-using industries, the Gold Standard is a national framework for Continuing Professional Development across the process industries.
