CPS nets equipment orders in UK, Egypt

London – Clyde Process Solutions, a supplier of pneumatic conveying and air filtration solutions for the process industries, has gained £1.1m worth of orders. The contracts were secured by the company’s European business operation.
A £0.8m contract involves the supply of storage silos, pneumatic conveying systems, bag dischargers and dosing injection systems to a UK waste recycling provider. The project will be commissioned by CPS in two phases and is scheduled for completion in March 2011.
A second order has been secured from an Egyptian-based minerals company for £0.3m. CPS will supply this customer with a pneumatic conveying solution that will transport calcium carbonate within their facility replacing existing, problematic mechanical bucket elevator systems.
Energy efficiency, low maintenance and dust-free performance were the key requirements for the Egyptian company, said CPS, which is to commission the plant this September.
The two orders build on the positive start made by the group in this new financial year, according to CPS chief executive Alex Stewart. “It is pleasing for our European operation to secure this strong level of order intake from two new customers. We believe these contract wins are a further testament to the growing recognition by our customers of the substantial environmental and economic benefits our technologies can generate.
“Both of these contracts have been secured at healthy levels of contribution and are in line with management expectations. We continue to add volume to our sales pipeline and all of our global subsidiaries are working closely with numerous customers to secure additional, profitable orders.”
