Royal award for 50-year pumps & mixers veteran

Lem, Denmark – Think you know something about pumps and mixers? In a test you might not want to come up against Ewald Green, who has received the rare and coveted Royal Award in Denmark for long and faithful service, after completing 50 years with Landia.
Issued by the secretary of the Royal Cabinet, Green was presented with his award during a special ceremony at Landia’s HQ in Lem, Jutland, where the pump and mixing specialists began business over 75 years ago.
Despite the advent of computers in the time of his long and loyal five decades of service, Ewald still kept his very own records books, which were often called upon by colleagues wishing to check spare parts for Landia pumps and mixers that had also been in service for many, many years.
Kurt Tobler, Landia’s export director, commented: “Ewald has been a tremendous credit to Landia and to the pump and mixer industry. He worked his way up from apprentice and was here when the very first submersible motors were built in the 1970’s - continuing to play a vital role right through to his final year. He has worked on thousands of our pumps and mixers, always giving that extra special care and attention to detail”.
