Honeywell leadership on the move
24 Jun 2012
London – Honeywell has appointed Darius Adamczyk as president of Honeywell Process Solutions. He moves from his role as president of Honeywell Scanning & Mobility (HSM), and was previously CEO of Metrologic, which Honeywell acquired in 2008. Before that, he held a number of global roles with Ingersoll Rand and Booz Allen Hamilton.
Adamczyk replaces Norm Gilsdorf who has moved on to become president, ‘high growth regions’, Russia, Central Asia and Middle East. He will now be responsible for strategic planning, prioritizing business investment, and establishing the operational structure and processes to in these regions.
Throughout his years in charge, Gilsdorf was based at Honeywell’s office in Bracknell, UK, where he had been located in his former role as vice president and general manager of the HPS business in EMEA. This apparently made the UK the de facto headquarters for HPS’ operations worldwide since early 2009.
However, explained a company spokesman , HPS is “neither geographically structured nor centralised and, as such, does not have a designated headquarters. It operates a global footprint, one that requires its senior leaders and resources to be geographically dispersed across the globe.
“Our global business model will continue under Darius’s leadership and there are no plans or desire at present to relocate our senior leadership team to a single location.”
