Compact and rugged valve positioner

The Type 3725 from control valve specialists Samson Controls is a development of its range of Series 373x units and provides a compact and rugged, easy-to-use device.
A simple, self-calibrating positioner is ideal for less sophisticated control requirements and the 3725 unit has been developed for these situations.
It is suited for precise and reliable control of small or large flows occurring in food processing, pulp and paper or bottling plants.
The Type 3725 unit features highlights of the Samson 3730-1 / 3760 positioners by combining the ‘smart’ features and LCD with a UV-resistant polyphthalamide housing and transparent blue polycarbonate cover.
Data input and start-up is a simple process due to the system’s auto-tuning, while position sensing is contactless, performed using an AMR sensor.
This method allows greater flexibility and enables the device to remain insensitive to vibrations, such as those generated by steam hammer.
The 3725 positioner is designed to be used with Samson’s family of diaphragm operated valves and can also be Namur rib mounted for travels up to 50mm as well as fitted to rotary actuators with VDI / VDE 3845 mounting.
