CAD Schroer has launched its latest standalone P&ID software with free trial download. Please click here.
Engineering software provider CAD Schroer has announced the release of a standalone version of its P&ID software for standards-driven creation of high quality piping and instrumentation designs, with a free 30-day trial.
Mark Simpson, product line manager at CAD Schroer, said: “We’ve launched this product in response to the needs of smaller engineering departments or individual consultants, who need to quickly create quality P&IDs in a flexible yet controlled, standards-driven manner.”
M4 P&ID FX includes symbol catalogues in support of the EN ISO, ANSI and ISA standards. Users can add or edit individual symbols, create new symbol catalogues, and configure catalogues for specific projects.
Dynamic tools allow users to place symbols and texts, with automatic alignment. Connections are maintained when moving symbols or entire piping systems.
The tools can be used to add line cross overs and flow direction arrows; pipe branch, symbol and line bore texts; as well as vendor, responsibility and pipe specification breaks.
An integrated consistency checker provides design quality assurance, with a detailed overview of the components used, as well as their attributes. Mistakes or inconsistencies within the schematic are flagged up in a separate report, as well as highlighted on the diagram itself.
In contrast to other P&ID systems, configurable P&ID parts lists, line lists and from/to lists can be generated at any stage of the design process -and from multiple sheets- to monitor a project’s progress.
M4 P&ID FX provides an extensive set of 2D tools in support of P&ID symbol creation, and a configurable DXF/DWG interface for easy data exchange with customers and suppliers.
“We invite users to watch our M4 P&ID FX software demo video, and to request their free trial licence. The license is delivered with a link to the software download, tutorial videos, and detailed documentation,” added Simpson.
