Understanding valves
29 May 2014
The British Valve and Actuator Association (BVAA) provides independent training which has been designed to be easy to understand.
Most courses are classroom based but some, including the ‘Joint Integrity Masterclass’ include factory visits.
All courses include demonstrations on sample valves and/or actuators.
Jimmy Phillips of BVAA said that the training has been benefiting those who work for valve specialist companies and those who work with valves only occasionally for years.
“We get a broad spectrum of professionals on our courses, from those who have been working with valves for a matter of days, to those with years of experience – but almost all go away happy and having learned lots,” Phillips said.
“The secret is finding the right trainers, we only employ those who have the technical knowledge and have worked in industry”
Upcoming BVAA course include:
16/06/2014 Introduction to Valves
17/06/2014 Introduction to Valve Actuators
