SICK has launched the TriSpector 1000, its first ‘plug-and-play’ 3D vision sensor in the UK.
The TriSpector 1000 has been developed to deliver real-time 3D quality inspection in a self-contained unit that is simple to install and use.
It provides fast-moving consumer good (FMCG) product pick, placement & packaging operations, contract packers and warehouse operators with true ‘out-of-the-box’ 3D vision without the complexity or cost of conventional 3D vision solutions.
According to SICK, it is versatile, functions under high-speed industrial conditions, and can achieve true 3D vision, even when colour, position and height of the object vary, and can tolerate changes in angle or position of packages on a conveying line.
It is an entirely self-contained unit that can be set up using SICK’s SOPAS software interface without the need to write bespoke programs, SICK says.
