The VTScada Thin Client server and Microsoft HoloLens augmented reality (AR) product can work together to reduce learning time for water and wastewater operators and increase plant safety, says Trihedral.
AR bridges the gap between operator and operations group to allow users to see real-time data hovering over their equipment, including pump statuses, tank levels or alarms.
To demonstrate, the firm has created a video in which a longtime VTScada user puts both technologies to practical use in his water plant and shares his thoughts on how AR can transform the SCADA industry.
In a single afternoon, the company set up the VTScada Thin Client server, built custom screens and placed them around the plant.
