Sandvik’s hollow bar range includes several grades of austenitic stainless steel as well as duplex stainless steel. Sizes of outside diameter range from 1.26 to 10.75-inches.
The company’s stock of hollow bar is available as Sanmac – a new generation of stainless steels that boast consistent machining properties for increased cutting speeds, reduced tool wear and set-up times.
Countless customers have tripled their machining output by simply replacing solid bar with Sanmac hollow bar, says the company.
The hollow bar is delivered in random lengths or cut to fixed measures, ranging from 2.5 to 6.5m (depending on size and grade). Lengths down ?to 1m can be included in a delivery.
Via Sandvik’s online material centre customers can refer to datasheets and corrosion tables. There is also a section where users can search, view and download technical data sheets to assist with material requirements.
