Time-consuming integration of intelligent field devices can be reduced from 30 minutes to just one, explains Siemens in its new webinar.
Titled ‘It’s time for new perspectives… Paving the way toward digital transformation for the process industry’, the concise presentation also explains how organisations can increase competitiveness and future proof plant investments for up to three decades.
The 45-minute session will be hosted on Thursday 2 November at 14.00 GMT by Steve Leech, business manager – process control systems at Siemens Digital Factory & Process Industries and Drives.
Leech, who will address the dual challenge modern businesses now face, explains: “Plants in the process industries have to satisfy increasingly stringent demands in terms of flexibility, scalability, availability, safety and security, while still offering maximum protection of investment for life cycles that may exceed 30 years.”
Leech will outline how the Profinet-based SIMATIC PCS 7 V9.0 version of Siemens’ process control system – which encompasses digitalisation right down to field level and with a focus on future-oriented opportunities – will help address that challenge.
The webinar will provide answers to questions such as:
- How is digitalisation impacting the process industries?
- What does my business need to do in order to stay competitive?
- What are the benefits to me in terms of time, resource and investment?
Intended for current users, end users and for those seeking solution delivery, it will include a 15 minute Q&A fielded by Siemens.
