The hygienic HpE Wangen Twin Screw pump can run at speeds of up to 4000 rpm, and when fitted with a VSD, can be ramped up from a gentle low rate on product transfer to much higher speeds, enabling it to handle CIP flow rates.
One client producing ready meals, a range of curry sauces, raita and chutneys, was struggling to get a consistent mix of curry sauce and suspended solids at the depositor.
On investigation, they discovered that the existing sine pump was pushing the liquid phase of the product through but leaving the solids behind.
HpE Process was able to demonstrate to the company that the hygienic Twin Screw pump could transfer both the liquid and solid phases of the product equally well.
