Huber trophy for two most promising graduates
4 Jul 2018
Temperature control pioneer Peter Huber, who died recently, has been commemorated at this year’s ACHEMA show with a prize named in his honour.
The Peter Huber Prize, awarded by the Valerius Funer Foundation, promotes energy efficiency in refrigeration, air conditioning and environmental technology.
This year’s winners, Joseph Michel and Florian Theobald, were judged the best graduates from the 2016 and 2017 academic years.
Michel received the award for his Master’s thesis on the optimisation and simulation of combined heat and power plants.
Theobald was honored for his work developing new models to more accurately calculate the heat transfer. In future, the development of temperature control units could benefit from this basic research.
