The British Pump Manufacturers Association has announced the appointment of former Xylem executive Gary Wilde to its newly created role of technical services officer.
Steve Schofield, director and CEO at the BPMA, commented: “He brings a wealth of experience to the new role of technical services officer, which I feel sure will serve both him and our growing membership very well indeed.”
Wilde has worked in the sector for more than 30 years, working in the UK and Italy. A long-standing member of the association he has served for 10 years on its circulator pumps committee.
In his new post he will handle special projects, plus technical functions within the organisation.
Said Wilde: “I’m delighted to be joining the BPMA, an organisation I have admired and had the pleasure of working alongside for many years.
“My role is to support the pump industry and ensure that its voice is heard on all and any technical matters. I’m looking forward to meeting the BPMA membership, many of whom are old friends and colleagues, in the coming weeks and months.”
