SAS invests £750 million in AI over three years

SAS has committed to invest the equivalent of $1 billion (£750 million) in artificial intelligence technologies and solutions over the next three years.
Laurie Miles, director of analytics, SAS UK & Ireland stated: “This investment by SAS will boost the development of effective AI technology across a wide range of industries and use cases.
“AI can bring significant value for organisations, but more than that, we believe AI can deliver great benefit to society – by investing in the future of analytics, we’re investing in the future of human development.”
Investment in AI will focus on three main areas: research and development (R&D) innovation; education initiatives addressing customer needs; and expert services to optimise customer return on AI projects.
