Key to the popularity of Jacopa’s Bosker trash rake is its tough grab unit which tackles tough, awkward debris and the fibrous material that defeats many competitors.
It can cope with the likes of plastics, glass, concrete, timber and bricks, and the condensed balls of fat and rags often encountered in the UK’s wastewater networks.
The grab is connected by a hoist which can return it to its overhead trolley. It is also supplied with aluminium-bronze tips to prevent sparking and possible explosions near concentrations of hydrogen sulphide or similar gases.
Without the need for a hydraulic power pack, maintenance time and cost are also reduced and the trash rakes can be pre-programmed with differential level setting or retrofitted.
Track sections also benefit from special paint treatment for corrosive conditions.
